PVC Plastic                            Back to Sheets

PVC plastic (polyvinyl chloride) has excellent chemical resistance and dielectric properties. It also has good tensile, flexural strength, and dimensional stability. There are two major types of PVC plastic. Those are rigid and flexible (plasticized).

  • Rigid PVC is the most common form. It is used in the manufacture of pipe, fittings, valves, machining shapes, sheet and duct. PVC piping has numerous advantages due to its excellent strength to weight ratio, pressure bearing capacity, and chemical/corrosion resistance.
  • Flexible (plasticized) PVC is used to produce film, packaging, liners, and wire/cable covers.
  • Some common applications of PVC plastic include tubing, electrical/cable insulation, protective gloves/clothing, gloves, electrical tape, tanks/vessels, nuts, bolts, fasteners, hangers, hubs, vinyl siding, credit cards, and decorative applications.
