 Polypropylene Plastics           Back to Sheets

Polypropylene plastic comes in two polymerized forms: copolymer and homopolymer polypropylene. Polypropylene is a stable plastic that can have a prolonged use at elevated temperatures, exposure to UV light, and improved flame retardancy.

  • Good balance of chemical, electrical, and thermal properties with decent strength.
  • Polypropylene's hard, high gloss surface make it ideal for environments were bacteria buildup is a concern.
  • Polypropylene is used extensively in electrical applications, due to it's excellent dielectric strength and arc resistance.
  • Applications in which polypropylene are used include scrub stations, piping, tank covers, glove boxes, water pumps, battery cases, cutting boards, bottling machines, animal feeders, radio/TV equipment, laboratory equipment, photographic processing equipment, playground equipment, packaging, irrigation, and machine cases.
