Nylon Rod, Cast & ExtrudedExtruded Nylon Rod | Cast Nylon Rod SUSTAMID 66 (Extruded Nylon Rod)SUSTAMID 66 is an extruded general purpose nylon (Polyamide 66). Nylon is one of the original engineering plastics and is still today the material of choice for many bearing and wear applications. Due to its unique combination of physical properties such as toughness, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and light weight, SUSTAMID 66 is regularly machined into parts to replace bronze, brass, steel and aluminum. SUSTAMID 66 MoS is enhanced with molybdenum 2 disulfide and provides a lower coefficient of friction and improved wear resistance. SUSTAMID 66 GF 30 is reinforced with 30% glass fibers and offers higher tensile strength, flexural strength and superior abrasion resistance.Sustamid 66 Extruded Nylon Rod Product Highlights
We try to keep all sizes listed below, in Natural MoS2 Nylon rod, in stock at all times.
SUSTAMID 6G (Cast Nylon Rod)SUSTAMID 6G provides excellent sliding properties and impact resistance and is commonly used in applications requiring larger parts. This product is manufactured by directly casting the raw materials into a mold to produce sheets, rods, tubes and near-net shapes. SUSTAMID 6G Natural is off-white in color and is commonly used in food processing applications. SUSTAMID 6G MoS is black in color and is enhanced with molybdenum disulfide to provide extra lubricity. SUSTAMID 6G OL 2 is green in color and oil-filled to improve the frictional properties and extend the life of the product. SUSTAMID 6G HS Blue is produced with a heat stabilizer that increases the continuous operating temperature to 230˚ F. Other special grades are also available by request.Sustamid 6G Cast Nylon Rod Product Highlights
